  • The male partner. TSH is usually done The other hormones are ordered if there are any specific problems.
  • These hormones will indicate the type of ovulatory or sperm making disorder
  • Appropriate drugs can then be given

The ovarian reserve is an estimation of the POTENTIAL OF THE OVARY to give meaningful eggs WHAT IS OVARIAN RESERVE

It is estimated by :

  • Blood tests. Day 2. FSH levels, Antimullerian hormone (AMH) on any day
  • The transvaginal scan is usually done on the 2nd or the 3rd day of menses. The small antral follicles are counted (AFC) and should be at least 6 to 8 in each ovary.
  • Response to ovarian stimulation drugs.

The same basic tests of hormones like TSH, Prolactin, FSH, LH & testosterone are done and correlated with the clinical and semen profiles.
